... rebounds in a win against No. 12 East Tennessee State. In the second round, he had 14 points and 11 rebounds in a rout of fifth-seeded Virginia. “I feel like I still lacked in being more of a vocal leader and just being more engaged and playing with a little bit more energy than I did,” Robinson said. “I got a little comfortable. I just gotta take it to a new level, get outside my comfort zone.”. To be sure, Robinson has raw talent and athleticism. But it was his desire to coast on that last season that led to fewer minutes than he might have liked. By all accounts, he and White butted heads over it. BRACKET:   Track the tournament. “I just knew that for me be a better basketball player, that I could be the best basketball player I could be, I had to play defense,” Robinson said. “That was one aspect of my game I was really lacking last year. “I just take pride in that. I take it personal when someone scores on me.”. That coupled ...

West Virginia already punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with a 83-71 win against Notre Dame on Saturday, setting up a date with No. 1 seed Gonzaga in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday. No. 5 seed Iowa State dropped a close game to No. 4 seed Purdue, ensuring that the Midwest Regional wouldn't turn into the Big 12 Tournament part II later this week in Kansas City, Mo. Instead, Kansas will get a big home crowd benefit when it takes on the Boilermakers on Thursday. “It doesn't really matter where we play, but it's Kansas basketball,” Kansas point guard Frank Mason III said. “And we get a chance to play 35 miles away from Lawrence, and I think it's just great for the fans and for us to get a chance to play there for the Sweet 16. So we're all excited.”. Kansas fans take over BOK Center.
