Back Where You Belong
... this week and pairing the residents up with attendings, and Stephanie and Jo are with Alex. Speaking of Alex, he begins his first day back by dealing with a little family drama: His procedure of the day is a mother-to-son kidney transplant with Cynthia (mother) and Chris (son), but things get off to a rocky start when Chris’ father shows up to the hospital uninvited as the two are being prepped for surgery. (Oh, what a difference a Facebook post makes.) Chris and Cynthia aren’t too happy to see him, nor are they happy with Jo for allowing him into their hospital room, and we later learn that this is because Cynthia is a victim of domestic abuse. The issue obviously hits home with Jo, who commissions Owen to get the father to leave the hospital so the gang can get on with their procedure in peace. Unfortunately, the complications don’t end there. Cynthia’s second kidney fails just as Stephanie and Jo attempt to transplant the good kidney into Chris, ultimately creating a moral dilemma for the whole team. Since the kidney has already been removed ...
Grey’s Anatomy Recap
... in charge, a nice chat with Catherine Avery — who, for the record, did not tell Bailey to give the job to April — does the trick. The other doctors, Jackson included, are angry that April gave up the cause. That she’s an opportunist who should’ve known to say no. And yes, it could look like that from the outside. Catherine, however, reminds April that people like Jackson are not like the two of them. (April getting giddy over being compared to Catherine is precious.) They had to work for what they have. Jackson doesn’t know what it’s like to live without a safety net. If he did, he’d know April had no choice but to take the job. It is a lovely little conversation that leads to a lovely little glass of wine because neither of the girls really wants to return home to their angry dudes. Remember when Catherine first showed up and made April pump a penis implant? Man, times have changed. Since being a part of Minnick’s phase two is what gets April an overabundance of side-eye from her friends, let’s talk about how that goes down. Neither chosen resident ...

... out in his ER bed, he overhears the patient next to him having trouble breathing and alerts Ben. Later, Ben tells him that he saved that guy’s life. He is a hero. He celebrates on his way out. It is very adorable. You know what? Ben needs some adorable today. Other than that sweet driver, he’s dealing with a surly, absentminded Jo Wilson. (Remember that last episode when I said Jo wasn’t the worst? Guess who’s back?) Ben knows Jo is out of sorts because of Alex, but after he has to rely on a patient noticing his bed-neighbor is sick in order to keep Jo’s patient alive, he’s had enough. To be honest, I can’t believe it took him that long, what with all the snark and side-eye she was throwing him all day. When Ben Warren isn’t killing people with emergency hallway C-sections, he is an angel person. He confronts Jo — not to yell at her, but to let her know that he’s there for her, whatever she needs. As a sign of her boundless gratitude, Jo goes off on the guy. She doesn’t ...

Grey's Anatomy's Nine Most Shocking Moments
... all, but maybe not the move within minutes of being reinstated?), but Bailey kicked him out of her office. Martin Henderson (left) and Kevin Mckidd Mitch Haaseth. 7. April got a controversial new gig. Bailey called April into her office, and they began talking about how April wasn’t happy with the new order in the hospital. Finally, Bailey declared, “It is tough-decision time, Kepner,” and shut the door. In the real world, it would be safe to assume she was very, very likely getting fired in that moment, but this is Grey’s, so all that was really going on was the setup for a shocking plot twist. Which leads Us to Alex, Maggie and Meredith, who later sat in bed eating lasagna (#friendshipgoals). Thanks to hospital gossip mixed with technology, they found out within minutes that April would be taking over Meredith’s role. 8. Eliza made a move on Arizona. Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and ...
Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 14 Recap & Review
... do better than that. This week, Ben, Stephanie, and Jo are working on a mother-to-son kidney transplant. The first bump in the road comes when the boy's estranged, abusive father turns up at the hospital. Once Jo learns about the abuse, she's immediately (and understandably) traumatized, and tries to get Owen to kick him out of the hospital. The father gets in her face more than once, and it seems like it's foreshadowing some big development in Jo's storyline — her abusive ex returning? Her opening up more to Alex about her past. After the kidney is removed from the mother, her other kidney fails, leaving just one functional kidney between the two of them. Everyone goes into a tailspin trying to figure out who the kidney "belongs" to. April's in charge because Bailey's away from the hospital (more on that soon), and because April is really, really bad at deciding things, everyone just stands around and wrings their hands for a while. Then, the boy's father steps forward and says he'll donate the kidney, which sets off another round of handwringing. Jo, in particular, is worried he'll use ...
Grey’s Anatomy Scott Foley Dead Head Prop Creeps Out Wife Video
... she was done. Just tragedy upon tragedy here, people — but those moments did vault these installments into our list of the best-ever Grey’s Anatomy episodes. Fast forward five seasons, and Scott is still a presence on Grey’s, as James Corden pointed out when the actor appeared on The Late Late Show last night, March 2. “You died on the show, but it looks like you’re still hanging around on the set, because this is…” the late-night host trailed off, before branding a creepy Instagram photo. “What’s happening here?”. “That’s dead Foley right now,” Scott replied. “So when I died, they made this prosthetic head of mine, right? And they did a very good job. It looks very realistic. “And they’re expensive to make, and so instead of making new ones every time someone dies, they just use my head. “So there’s a picture of my wife doing a scene on Grey’s Anatomy with my dead head.”. — Marika Dominczyk (@The Mean Chick) November 4, 2016. “That must be very strange for your wife,” James said, as fellow guests Jessica Lange and Idris Elba laughed. “Uh, maybe. I ...

... that their daughter may not recognize her own parents. She doesn’t at first, but after she’s given some time to calm down, she finally greets them. From the hallway, Riggs watches the family get the happy ending that he’ll never have. (Or will he?!) RIGGS IS CRYING, YOU GUYS. Be still my heart. Tears coming out of a face that has a head of hair like that? Yes, please and thank you. Maggie is also moved by seeing a new side of Riggs. She goes home, crawls into the Sister Bed, and tells Meredith about what went down. Meredith gets it. When Derek died, she had one day of not knowing where she was. She tried to stay calm, she explains, but inside was going crazy. “I guess it’s like that for Nathan every day.” Even Maggie admits that Meredith understands what Riggs must be going through. So, I guess we’re getting back into the whole Meredith-Riggs-Maggie thing of it all. More important, does this Riggs story line mean that we’re one step closer to Megan turning up alive? Am I the only one still holding out hope for this. Laughter Is the Best ...

... by hospital politics. Amelia finally faces her feelings about Owen, and Meredith gets caught between Nathan and Alex over a patient.”. As the sneak peek starts, Jackson finds his mother as she heads to the pit, perhaps en route to that trauma case. “I need to talk to you about this Minnick situation,” he tells his mom. “What situation?” Catherine says. “She’s doing great.”. (She’s playing coy, clearly!). “Don’t pretend you don’t know what you did, Mom,” Jackson says. “People have been fighting this since the minute you brought her here.”. “Bailey brought her here,” Catherine contends. She’s certainly not saying she’s the one who inspired the hire, but Jackson cuts through her B. S. “At your urging,” he says, correcting her. The Jesse Williams character then contends he’s the voice of the Avery Foundation at the hospital, an assertion that apparently comes at a surprise to his mother. “Wait, I’m sorry, you’re the what?” she says.
