Those eating gluten-free have relied on Chex for a while now and the variety is huge -  six of the seven cereal flavors  (all but wheat) are gluten-free. Fruity  and  Cocoa  Pebbles: Like Chex, these have been a longstanding option. And if you're looking for something to satisfy a sweet tooth, this is a perfect choice. Honey Rice Puffins:  This  is the closest I've found to one of my favorite cereals growing up, Frosted Mini Wheats. But it's actually better. Lucky Charms: This is another  sweet choice  I was over the (blue) moon to find out was finally made gluten-free. Cheerios released a special-edition cereal box featuring two local Shop Rite employees as a prize for raising money for area food banks. Dawn Doughty-Myers of Poughkeepsie and Kelsey Wright of Beacon, employees at Shop Rite in Fishkill, were two of 80 employees featured from 40 winning stores. The annual Shop Rite Partners In Caring Cheerios contest raised $1.4 million for regional food banks through donations. The five top stores won $3,000, and the other winning stores received $500. The prize money will be presented to local food pantries near each store. The box was unveiled on March 6. General Mills produced 150,000 of the limited edition box. The cereal brand pledged to send out 100 million wildflower seeds in partnership with Veseys Seeds as part of a campaign called # Bring Backthe Bees , inspired by Honey Nut Cheerios' bee mascot, Buzz. "People need bees. And now bees need people," the campaign's site says. The campaign asks that once you receive your wildflower seeds, you plant them in a "bee-friendly" area. Several species of bees have experienced dramatic declines in recent decades, with a bumblebee becoming endangered  this year for the first time.
