... mysteries. Orient Express interior circa 1886 [Image by Hulton Archive/Getty Images]. Murder on the Orient Express starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, and Leslie Odom Jr. would merit a sequel. It sounds delightfully like a theater troop. Theater troops were popular in the 1930 s so the concept might work, but sadly Leslie Odom doesn’t think it would go quite that way. “But part of the fun is watching Poirot travel the world and have to figure out his way in a landscape and a culture that maybe he is unfamiliar with. It’s really about new people, a new murder, new suspects, new situations. I don’t think Dr. Arbuthnot would be back, but I’ll tell you what, if I got a call from Kenneth Branagh, I’d be anywhere he wanted me.”. Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Leslie Odom Jr. had a lovely time making this movie according to Leslie Odom, and Murder on the Orient Express promises to be a hauntingly memorable film for audiences as well. ... up and go, 'Okay, acting gods, I need you with me today.'". Despite suffering from imposter syndrome, Michelle has received three Oscar nominations for her work over the course of her career, including a nod for her role in The Fabulous Baker Boys. But even with her upcoming role as Mrs. Hubbard in Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express, she insists old habits die hard. "I just got this email from Steve Kloves who wrote and directed The Fabulous Baker Boys, and he said, 'How's it going on Murder on the Orient Express?' which I just finished with Kenneth Branagh. And I said, 'Oh, you know me. I feel like I'm ruining his movie,'" she shared. Michelle, who also appears on the cover of the April issue of Interview, added she has enjoyed a lot of time away from the spotlight since marrying her TV producer husband David E. Kelley and becoming a mum to daughter Claudia Rose, 24, and son John Henry, 22. Though she is looking forward to getting stuck into a number of upcoming projects, including parts in HBO's Bernie Madoff film The Wizard of Lies and Aronofsky's drama, Mother! which also stars his girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence. ... of that performance, Boston caught up with Odom about his latest movie, Murder on the Orient Express, coming out this Thanksgiving; what he’s bringing to the stage this summer; and why he almost quit show business completely. This conversation has been edited for length and clarity. Thanks so much for taking the time. I know you’re busy—you’re a new dad, right. I am going to be a new dad. We’re expecting a little girl in about two months. Awesome, congratulations. You’re also working on a film adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. Yes, I was in London for about four months. Kenneth Branagh directed it, and  the cast is stacked. Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer. One of my dear friends from college, Josh Gad, was there. I play Dr. Arbuthnot. Everybody on the train is a suspect. Agatha Christie’s got a series of these novels that follow [Hercule Poirot’s] exploits, so it could could possibly be a reboot of a franchise, which is really cool. Ken is not only a brilliant actor, he’s a great and well-respected director. Is the role you’re playing possibly a recurring one. We joked, because we had so much ...

... The network’s HBO. The title: “The Wizard of Lies.” The brain behind the production — producer/director Barry Levinson. Levinson: “We shot it in the city. Actual neighborhoods where this took place. It was a 41-day shoot. Interiors were on a Long Island soundstage because the towns are so busy. “Our script paints no personal picture. This story, in terms of the actual destruction of a family, is like Arthur Miller’s ‘All My Sons.’ A very wealthy man’s greed — under cloak of secrecy — destroying thousands of people’s lives. “The idea to film this has been around all of us awhile. Bob originally optioned it for himself years back. HBO’s been developing it awhile. The question was finding a time slot. May 20, 2 hours 15 minutes, and it’ll be on at 8 p.m.”. Did they meet Madoff. “We never received authorization and couldn’t get to do it because there was no indication he wanted to meet. The script adapted some of Diana Henriques’ book about ...

... they seriously made her look pregnant. The accidental baby bump is all I can see!” dodencebt pointed out in a state of shock. “I was SO excited when I read the title but the cover itself is not really working for me. I like the color palette but something’s not working,” echoed an uncertain mistress_f. Mepps  agreed, saying, “Awkward body position, and bad Photoshop! Random cover choice. Love Michelle, but she deserved better than this.”. Also quick to express their dismay was forum member lelaid. “I’ve always been a fan of hers and she’s stunning but that cover choice is dull. One of the black & white shots from inside would have been much better,” he acknowledged in suggest. Honeycombchild shared the same sentiments, writing, “Brilliant cover subject, awful image. The positioning of it all is so awkward! Such a shame. It’s glorious to see Pfeiffer landing a cover!”. “What a great cover choice, as always from Interview. ... work better as a romantic comedy. Garry Marshall was signed to direct and Gere and Roberts were eventually cast. Five months after the movie’s debut, Walt Disney Studios took out an ad in Variety proclaiming that on Aug. 25, “Pretty Woman” had become the highest-grossing film in the studio’s 67-year-history. On Dec. 31, Variety reported that the top three domestic films of the calendar year were “Ghost,” “Pretty Woman,” and “Home Alone.” Globally, “Pretty Woman” earned more than $460 million. Roberts received her first Oscar nom for 1989’s “Steel Magnolias,” as supporting actress. She scored her second bid the following year, as the lead for “Pretty Woman.”. And Gere has a unique distinction. Though he’s been doing great film work for 40 years, he’s never scored an Oscar nomination himself, though he consistently makes his co-stars look good. Four of his leading ladies earned a best-actress Oscar nomination in roles opposite Gere: Debra Winger (“An Officer and a Gentleman”), Roberts, Renee Zellweger (“Chicago”) and Diane Lane ...
