... was Crashing, and both Mc Graw and I agreed it was well done and funny. From Pete Holmes (and starring the same), it's a look at the burgeoning career of a stand-up comedian. Since it's from HBO and affiliated with Judd Apatow, with it comes degrading circumstances both comical and cringe-worthy. The best shows you're not watching this week included a from Carissa for Autopsy: The Last Days Of. on Reelz Channel. Morbid, right. This past week they debunked the possibility that Kurt Cobain was murdered with details about how and why he would have killed himself. The circumstances used are painstakingly detailed with great respect given to the deceased. For those of you wondering about Courtney Love's involvement, her father was even a guest on the program sharing his views that his daughter was involved in Kurt's murder. If you have Reelz Channel, I urge you to tune into the series, which replays ...

Watch Rihanna's Ominous Arrival In 'bates Motel' Trailer

... madness as visions of Norma haunt him while her actual remains sit stuffed in the cellar. Rihanna makes her appearance as Marion Crane – originally portrayed by actress Janet Leigh – at the end of the trailer. She checks in to the Bates Motel and in the the final moments Norman peers through a peephole as the shower runs. Rihanna was tapped to play Crane last year after professing she was a Bates Motel fan. In an interview with EW , executive producer Kerry Ehrin said that Rihanna will play a more fleshed out version of the character Leigh portrayed in Psycho. In the 1960 thriller, Crane arrives at the Bates Motel after stealing money from her boss for her boyfriend, but is famously killed during the first act. "It's tough to be in a situation where you're in love with a guy, and for whatever reason, he keeps stalling," Ehrin said. "It was trying to do a story about a contemporary woman with some edge, with some expectations, who isn't perfect, who isn't always perfectly sweet, who is in that situation, but we’re rooting for her to get what she ...

As I recently mentioned , the new season picks up about 18 months after Norma’s death — though not everyone is aware of her demise. “Dylan still doesn’t know that Norma has died,” EP Kerry Ehrin tells me. Despite his role in her death, Norman is unsurprisingly living in denial and doesn’t recognize that Norma is gone. “For the most part, no. It’s too painful of an admission to look at,” Ehrin says. “Norman is living in multiple realities and functioning — at the moment.”. Anything fun coming up for Linstead on Chicago P. D.? — Faima. Bates Motel' Season 5 Review
Bates Motel' Season 5 Review

... leaving doubts from the very beginning about whether Norman (or Norma) had committed certain murders, and if so, how much the other one knew about it. But in the fifth season, the jig is up, and it’s laid out clearly (mostly visually, which is one thing this series has always done very, very well: showing rather than telling). Now that Norma is dead, Norman’s transformation is becoming more complete, and we see things as he does versus how they really are. This juxtaposition of this plus the reveal of Norma’s corpse makes this season of Bates Motel more of a straight horror series than any before it, and since Norman is still primarily triggered by sex and sexuality, and his conversations with Head-Norman are almost entirely focused on sexual jealously, anyone who becomes a talking point between the two of ...

Bates Motel Season-premiere Recap
Bates Motel Season-premiere Recap

... intentional, but “Dark Paradise” includes the kind of bait-and-switch that Hitchcock would have loved. For weeks now, A&E has been advertising the arrival of Rihanna as Marion Crane , the doomed traveler played by Janet Leigh in the classic film. She’s nowhere to be found in this premiere, but fans of the film likely perked up at the mention of another name: Loomis. We may not be getting the Bates Motel iteration of Marion quite yet, but we are getting its bizarre take on Marion’s lover, Sam Loomis. In Psycho, Sam was a divorced hardware store owner played by John Gavin. In Bates Motel, we meet a paint store owner named Madeleine Loomis (Isabelle Mc Nally), who looks an awful lot like Norma. The funhouse mirror version of the Loomis name is clever, taking something familiar and spinning it off in a new direction. Instead of just a new character, Madeleine Loomis reminds us of the film, keeping us further on edge. Bates Motel is turning up the dial on ...
