Never Go Back’ And ‘inferno’ Reviews 4k Uhd
... Impossible.” More inventive action scenes and an R rating were needed to truly satisfy and deliver visceral thrills. 4 K UHD in action: Shot on film and mastered in 2 K, owners of the disc will get an upscaled transfer to 4 K. The ultra high-definition actually makes Mr. Cruise look old and tired, not quite what I was expecting. I never thought the guy could age. The digital transfer was a bit too grainy at times and even some banding around the character’s outline, not anticipated when moving into the ultra high-definition arenas for an action film. Yet, a tree practically glowing from rain falling on it and a major scene in New Orleans’ French Quarter complete with a Halloween parade, a rooftop chase and fireworks won’t disappoint viewers, thanks to some stunning color variations and depth. Best extras: An sufficient selection of six featurettes (around 73 minutes in total) are found on the Blu-ray disc ...

... here he is, again playing Jack Reacher in this sequel based on Lee Child's bestselling novel “Never Go Back.” In this installment, Reacher is accused of murder and on the run with an Army major framed for espionage (Colbie Smulders). He also learns that he may have a child he has never met. Neither critics nor moviegoers loved this one. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 37% score, with the critical consensus being that the film is “monotonously formulaic.” Directed by Edward Zwick. (PG-13; 90 minutes; Relativity): This action-comedy also didn’t score with critics, but may be of special interest around here for two reasons: the true events on which the story is based occurred in Charlotte; and North Carolina native Zach Galifianakis is one of the stars. In the film, an armored car driver (Galifianakis) is lured by his crush ...

In short, he loses his edge indoors. Burning Bright opens with him backpacking alone among the giant redwoods in northern California. A chance encounter with an aggressive grizzly sends Peter scrambling 40 feet up a tree. While up there, he spots a climbing rope dangling from a taller, neighboring ...

... Go Back" he's traded the running for sleepwalking. Cruise goes from bored to disconnected in this sequel that only maintains the name of the title character from the previous film. Cruise's character is a loner who uses his military training to do good. He's tested when a good friend (Cobie Smulders) becomes the target of a military investigation. There's a secondary story about how Reacher might be a family man but it's equally as boring. The film would have been much better had Reacher been cut out and the focus been on Smulders. That, sadly, isn't the case. "Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks," 3.5 stars: Fans of Doctor Who have lamented how the story of the Doctor's very first regeneration was no longer available.
